This is the time of year when book reviewers traditionally publish lists of suggested books to take along on summer vacation. These usually are a mixture of mystery and romance novels, with perhaps a light biography thrown in. The link below takes you to a different kind of list; a dozen books that range from the current - Elaine Sciolino's "La Seduction: How the French Play the Game of Life" - to the historic in David McCullough's "The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris," which chronicles the experiences of Americans in the City of Light 100 years before the more familiar ex-pats Hemingway and friends.
